Thanks, Ted. Some of these articles have been just sitting in my computer for years. It's nice to let them see the light of day again. I'm posting them as fast as I can. Lots more on the way.

Well, DM News was purchased by a large company and I think they wanted to go for a more corporate approach. Too bad, because most of the other DM publications have gone in the same direction. There aren't too many outlets for the sort of "in-the-trenches" info that most marketers crave.

Hi Dean,
Thanks for subscribing to our blog! I've just signed up to subscribe to yours as well.

It's unfortunate that DM News has dropped their columnists . . . one of the best things about this online DM source is the variety of opinions on all types of topics that are relevant to us. If they don't allow outside points of view, I fear that the insights and information will become less well-rounded.

Here's hoping they see the error of their ways!

Thanks, Nancy. I subscribe to your blog, so I saw the reference. Unfortunately, DM News introduced a new format and dropped all their columnists, so my appearances in DM News will be few and far between now.

Hi Dean, You are a virtual plethora of knowledge! Thanks for sharing these great articles. Also, I quoted you on a recent blogpost of my own. It was in regard to your article in DM News on the continuing effectiveness of direct mail. It was very well written, so we thought we'd share it with our readers. Click my name to take a look.

Keep up the excellent work!
